LUIS VILLANUEVA, 17

Luis Villanueva is from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, and will start his senior year at Rosalina C. Martinez High School in August. Villanueva participates in the Future Business Leaders of America. (FBLA), a program that helps young people prepare for careers in business through academic competitions (FBLA Competitive Events), development, leadership, and educational programs. Villanueva is a responsible boy who likes to help others and never says no to anyone.

As a leader, Villanueva enjoys teaching others and sharing knowledge with his peers. Animal abuse is just one of the several things in the world that Villanueva finds atrocious. Social problems like animal abuse and equity cause Villanueva great sadness. He would like to eliminate animal violence because they feel and suffer just like humans do. Villanueva wants to create awareness among people who mistreats animals that if people adopt animals, it is to make them part of a family and not to treat them as expendable objects.
